Each Ada piece of Colorina’s work tells an idyllic story in which humanity, natural realms and even the sky, clouds and stars. Stories are revealed in the clarity of her powerful imagination, portraying popular Latin American legends and cultural traditions immersed in lavish and rich atmospheres.
Her work portrays wealth of compositional elements expressed in a rich variety of color. Fiestas, bullfights, rodeos, religious rituals and scenes of everyday life are described with a humorous tone impregnated with the simplicity and natural joy of the artist.

Ramón Barragán, born in Puerto Vallarta (May 15th 1929), organized and participated in the very first pictorial exhibit in town. It was held in 1952 on the inauguration of the Hotel Paraíso, located between Iturbide and Morelos streets, the Malecon and The City Hall. Esteban Ramírez Guereño and Joaquín Rodríguez Pedroza took part in that exhibition.

Rubén Chuela

In 1988 Rubén Chuela obtained his degree in Architecture by the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo, with his thesis “Centro Cultural en la Mesete Purépecha” or “Culture Center on the Purepecha Plateau”.
In the visual arts field, he has made studies in several specialties: lithography, ceramics, tinplate, graphic design, means of production, lighting, Christian temples iconology, sacred art, contemporary art and art critics.
The exhibition at Garza Blanca features mainly pictorial works, with a few pieces of sculpture and assembly of this important michoacano artist.

Garza Blanca Preserve Resort & Spa is honored to present the exhibition Momentos de Color by the plastic artist José Baldi.
José Baldi is a self-taught plastic artist born in 1964 in Tepotzotlán, Mexico. His birthplace had a great influence in his professional career. From his childhood, he still remembers with yearning the Jesuit school that closed its doors, leaving on him the influence of its architectural legacy. Not a minor share of his early works evokes the old Tepotzotlán, with the façade of the church of Saint Francis Xavier as his anchoring point. In his works, he takes a nostalgic look at what he calls “a Tepotzotlán that is leaving us”, and this nostalgia will be latent in those works as a personal stamp of things his heart longs to see.
Inside the design laboratory of architecture at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana –Atzcapozalco, he became acquainted with his first theories of color and materials. His wife Patricia Guerra was a lone witness to his first watercolor works, and it was Patricia who enticed him to try new techniques and to tempt the market of Mexican art. “Salón El Granero” in Tepotzotlán still shows his early fresco works, and ensuing exhibitions led him to the Alberto Misrachi Gallery in Mexico City.
