Each year in November, Puerto Vallarta’s most celebrated International Gourmet Festival delights and charms visitors to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit marking the beginning of the peak season in Banderas Bay. From November 13 through November 23 2014, Puerto Vallarta’s XX International Gourmet Festival hosted a number of spectacular culinary events, guest chefs and signature menus for visitors to devour.
Celebrating its 20th Anniversary, this year’s International Gourmet Festival was even more incredible than usual. Founders and organizers of the festival, world renowned chefs Heinz Reize, Thierry Blouet and Roland Menetrey yet again prepared an unbeatable, taste bud tempting program of culinary events for Banderas Bay.
Garza Blanca Preserve was pleased to take part in this year’s anniversary celebration with its BocaDos STK restaurant featuring in the week-long program offering a special menu on the theme of Avant Garde Japanese Cuisine created by Chef Juan Carlos Chavez. Soon to lead the kitchen at the new Japanese fusion restaurant, Hiroshi, which will open with the launch of Hotel Mousai next month, Chef Juan Carlos is an expert in sushi and asian cuisine.
Garza Blanca was also host to a sensational Sensory Poolside Extravaganza event that took place at the Panoramic pool on Sunday November 16 from 11am – 5pm. The trendy brunch-lunch soiree featured a DJ and showcased tasty poolside dishes that experimented with combining typical fare and predictable presentation for an incredible gourmet experience. Sponsored by Patron Tequila and Moët & Chandon, there was a variety of stands with a mouthwatering array of cuisine as well as cocktails and a live cooking demonstration.
