On Friday March 25th, from 4pm until 11pm, visitors to Puerto Vallarta arriving for Easter can enjoy a number of reggae groups, amongst which will feature Bob Marley’s son, Ky Mani Marley and his band. Other renowned reggae bands that will play at the festival include Kassiano, Konfrontation Band, La Yaga, Maurice Englishman and the Profile Band, in addition to other supporting groups. The Easter reggae concert will take place in the Flamingos Event’s Area which is located behind the Mega superstore in Puerto Vallarta’s hotel zone, with DJ Cossío warming up the crowd with classic reggae tunes from 4pm.

According to Puerto Vallarta’s local newspaper, the Tribune de La Bahia, one of the festival’s organizers, Kassiano claims that it is going to be a historic event for Banderas Bay and the first time that a “Marley” has performed in Puerto Vallarta, bringing with him “the great vibe, talent and charm of his legacy, which brought reggae to the ears of the world.” The newspaper also reported that Ky Many Marley’s representatives have said that the singer is really excited about coming to Mexico, especially Puerto Vallarta in Easter, where he is sure there will be a great connection between the music, atmosphere and festival goers.
