Review of Garza Blanca Los Cabos’ 4 Bedroom Loft

Table of Contents

Garza Blanca Resort & Spa Los Cabos is a fairly new resort located in the tourist corridor of Los Cabos. I had heard about it from a friend who stayed there, and I checked the Tripadvisor reviews and it has nothing but excellent reviews with five green circles. I also checked the testimonial videos on the website and that was enough to convince me that I needed to book a stay there with my friends and family. Our whole stay in the Residential Retreats collection was so impressive that it left me with a burning desire to write a review, so that other travelers can know about how great this place is!

The Best Family-Friendly Resort in Cabo

I booked the 4 Bedroom Loft for five nights on the all-inclusive plan, since I was traveling with my husband, our three children, our friends, and their teenage son, (eight of us in total), and the suite offers over 4,000 square feet of spaciousness, so I thought it would be perfect for our two families. The other thing that I liked about it, is that it is a split-level loft with two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the second level, so their family stayed downstairs and our family stayed upstairs, and that gave us some additional privacy.

The Residential Retreats collection, has so many extra privileges and experiences thrown in. The lofts are like modern interpretations of heaven on earth, where everyone who stays gets treated like royalty. We even had our own personal butler!

It was a special occasion, my husband’s 50th, and we certainly picked the right place to celebrate. Los Cabos is a city for nightlife, deep-sea fishing, and there’s a wide variety of activities for all the family. But even with it being a city full of so many amazing things to do, the hotel was so awesome we felt we rarely wanted to leave.

Our First Impression

We were met at the reception of the hotel by our dedicated Butler, who made sure we all had everything we needed, and our luggage was taken to our Loft.

On entering our Loft, through our own foyer, everyone in our group gasped and said ‘wow’. We had 4 bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms to choose from. We had a tour of the full-sized kitchen with all the amenities you could want including a fridge, stove, microwave, and Nespresso machine.

We found two edible chocolate photo frames that were left on the center island. That was our welcome amenity and it made us feel extra special.

Myself and my husband walked around, taking everything in. It was like a high-end luxury house. We were in awe of the lavish elements including the gourmet kitchen with a breakfast bar, the stunning living room and giant floor-to-ceiling windows with tropical light streaming through. We walked out to the huge wraparound terrace and we had an unobstructed view of the ocean blue. The children were amazed with the view and our friends were excited that the terrace had lounge furniture, a dining table, and a hammock. We ended up spending a lot of time out there.

Extra Amenities and Services

Garza Blanca interested us as well because they offer a new Family Program that offers convenient amenities for parents with infants and small children. When I booked, they told me that the extra items, available for no additional cost, would be placed in my loft on the day of our arrival. Everything was there that had been promised: a bouncer, a baby bathtub, a stroller, a monitor, a car seat, bottle sterilizers, and a crib. These items are super handy to have and I was so relieved I didn’t have to pack them all and carry them in my luggage.

The children were also given coloring books, an authentic handcrafted toy, another plush toy, and an adventure backpack as part of the Family Program, that they were able to take home with them. A cute touch was the kid-sized bathrobes and slippers available for all the children to use during their stay.

And another perk of staying in the Residential Retreats collection is that they provide a Premium Bar for all-inclusive guests. The bar was stocked with soft drinks and beers, as well as a few bottles of liquor including vodka, tequila, whisky, and Baileys. My husband decided to open the tequila and he poured us all a shot, and we had a toast to our stay before we walked around further.

Elevated Everything

Next, we explored the upstairs. From the ground floor, we climbed one staircase to the landing where there are two additional bedrooms including the master bedroom, where my husband and I stayed. It was radiantly decorated with a large king-size bed and the furniture was super-plush throughout as well they placed a crib in our room for our baby. The space was more than ample for our needs, and the oversized en suite bathroom was impressive. I loved the rain shower and the automated bidet toilet.

We discovered L’Occitane luxury toiletries, a pillow menu, so we could choose our type of pillows, and an aromatherapy station with candles, and bath salts.

Then from there, we climbed up another set of stairs to our private Rooftop terrace. The terrace has a wonderful jacuzzi and splendid views as well as lounge furniture, an outdoor shower, and a half bathroom. We also enjoyed spending our time up there.

After all that we took a nap or “siesta“ in Spanish, and upon waking we decided to check out the resort. We went outside and dipped our toes in the soft sand on the extra-wide beach directly in front of the hotel. Seven swimming pools out front looked so inviting, and we remembered we had been told there was an eighth – an infinity pool on the rooftop also.

We checked out the state-of-the-art gym, the yoga room, and the indoor tennis court.

The hotel featured outdoor terraces, with fire pits, lounges, and jacuzzis, and we stopped at the mesmerizing Orange Tree for a souvenir photo – the tree has a special meaning – setting out in search of excellence.

There were a variety of artistic sculptures dotted around, and entertainers and musicians were starting to gather in different spots – (the entertainment throughout our whole stay was impressive, with line-ups of local talent).

Blanca Blue, Bocadas Steak House, and Hiroshi restaurant, all looked very impressive. The kids wanted to go up to the Rooftop, but we were told that it was an adults-only pool, so instead we found some lounge chairs around the family pool where we enjoyed some snacks.

Talk about pandering to our every whim! The children had burgers, tacos, and french fries, and the adults had ceviche paired with margaritas and mezcalitas. We stayed there for ages, and we didn’t need to worry about money as we were on the all-inclusive plan, that part was great!

That evening we just relaxed in our luxury loft. The Wi-Fi was super-fast, and with the televisions, entertainment system, and 24-hour room service, everyone was happy. It was better than we had even imagined it would be.

Our Butler was so nice – professional, attentive, yet unobtrusive. We had to call him a couple of times to get us some items. He really looked after us, especially on the first evening.

After our long day, we took ourselves off behind each doorway to our private bedrooms.

A New Day Beginning with Fun

In the morning breakfast was served in-suite. This is another service that comes when you stay on the all-inclusive plan in the Residential Retreats, which is available once per stay and available again from the sixth night for extended stays. We had a family-style breakfast with traditional eggs and bacon, which was very tasty. We also had smoothies and fresh croissants.

Watching some sailboats already out on the Pacific Ocean, we finished up our delicious breakfast while out on the terrace. (A buffet-style breakfast is another option available).

Our children were eligible for the Kids’ Club program, since they were between 4 & 12 years old. They had fun playing games on the beach and making crafts and playing video games in the Kids’s Club. We also were traveling with an infant, who was not eligible for the Kids’ Club, but we arranged the resort babysitting service and the babysitter came right to our loft and looked after the baby for a few hours, while my friend and I went to spoil ourselves at the spa and my husband and his friend took the teenager out on an ATV tour.

It was the morning of my husband’s 50th, and we had a special evening planned, so my friend and I took ourselves to Spa Imagine to get ready for it. Honestly, we both felt transformed by the depth of the experience we had there.

We basked, we sank, and we floated – their signature hydrotherapy circuit honors the healing and relaxing properties of water.

My friend had a Divine Cocoon Facial, and I had the Instant Beauty Facial.

We were treated to a Thai Massage to connect our chakras, and we both had gel manicures and pedicures, make-up applied, and also our hair blow-dried and straightened. We strutted out from there like a couple of beauty queens!

Then we met our husbands at the Food Truck, where the men were having ceviche and fish tacos. I told my husband not to eat too much and revealed to him that I had a surprise for him that evening.

I hadn’t yet told him our stay included an in-suite dinner with a private chef.

The kids were having fun at the Kids’ Club and didn’t want to leave, so we decided to go to check out the Rooftop. It felt like a very chic beach club. We found four lounge chairs that were next to each other and we enjoyed a cocktail. The infinity pool is amazing and seems to blend into the ocean. We had such a great time up there.

After sunset that evening, we were presented with a multi-course menu, in our amazing loft, and we dined on salmon, steak, shrimp, and grilled vegetables and for dessert, we had chocolate cake and ice cream. My husband was really surprised and he loved it.

We also organized the in-suite experience, available when you book the Residential Retreats on an all-inclusive plan, for that same night out of a choice of a mixology class, or beer, wine, or tequila tasting. We chose the mixology class, where we got to watch the expert mixologist at work and he made several cocktails for us to taste and we also learned how to mix the perfect margarita.

My husband really enjoyed a wonderful birthday and I think booking Garza Blanca’s Residential Retreats was the perfect option for celebrating the momentous occasion and it made me want to share with the world how special it really was.

If you want to have the best vacation experience, staying in the Residential Retreats is a worthy option. So much was included, and we really felt we couldn’t have spent our money in a better way. Garza Blanca in Los Cabos is definitely an amazing resort and you won’t be disappointed with your decision to stay there.
