Getting to Los Cabos

Getting to Los Cabos, Mexico

While the U.S.-Mexico land border will remain closed for non-essential travel until August 20, 2020, there are no restrictions on air travel. Several airlines have resumed flights into Los Cabos International Airport including: Aeroméxico, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines and United Airlines.

Los Cabos and Baja California Sur received the Safe Travels stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council based on the destination adhering to strict hygiene and sanitary protocols according to the advice of the health department.

Hotels, businesses, and tour operators have reopened in Los Cabos after a multi-phase reopening process and may operate at up to a 30% capacity. They have all adopted hygiene and sanitization measures including temperature taking, mandatory use of hand sanitizer and face masks and staying safe distances apart.

Baja California Sur beaches were reopened, but the state recently closed them again after a spike in coronavirus cases. However, the beaches in Los Cabos remain open with limited opening hours, capacity and enforced limits on crowding.

While Cabo San Lucas is considered safe to travel to, keep yourself extra safe by following all the recommendations from health authorities and we urge you to wear your face mask (cubrebocas in Spanish), wash your hands frequently and practice social distancing when in public areas.
