You may be worried that the only place your toddler will enjoy on your vacation in Puerto Vallarta is the hotel pool or beach; however there are more places to visit in Puerto Vallarta that will have your toddlers jumping with excitement. Below are some of the best places to visit with your little ones when visiting Banderas Bay.
Just on the outskirts of Puerto Vallarta lies a farm dedicated to educating children about animals. Your toddlers can go for a few hours for less than $8. They will be able to pet the farm animals, feed them and take a pony ride. This is a relaxed activity perfect for young children who want to experience something slightly different than a beach day. They will be enchanted by the small animals that they know and love so well. The farm is found in Bucerias, a small town 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.
There are two main water parks in Puerto Vallarta. The biggest one is Parque Aquatica. It holds a smaller area with shallow waters for toddlers and babies. They can safely slide down the smaller slides and splash in the pools. The smaller and less expensive version is Splash. This park has a main pirate ship with slides coming off and a few larger slides for adults and older children to enjoy. More importantly the water is very shallow and the man made beach surrounding the pool makes it relaxing for parents to watch their young children. Both parks have sea life. Dolphins, seals and even sharks will be on display for your entertainment.
Lakumbe Restaurant (Fluvial Vallarta)
If you fancy a delicious Mexican breakfast or lunch and want your child to be entertained at the same time then this is a must see, you can eat whilst your children play safely in front of you. The colorful tables surround a central play area that includes an inflatable castle and three climbing structures with slides. There is also a n indoor play area that holds toys and arts and crafts. They also provide a nanny on sight who with a small tip will be happy to keep a watchful eye and entertain your child whilst you relax and sip your well-deserved coffee. The restaurant is situated in the Fluvial neighborhood in Puerto Vallarta.
El Zoologico de Puerto Vallarta is situated between Mismaloya and Mismaloya beach nestled in the jungle and mountains. It is a fun day out for your toddlers to enjoy and a chance to interact with the animals. Unlike some zoos, here you can touch baby tigers and even feed some of the animals with food provided on your visit. Your toddlers will be fascinated with the colors and sounds of the animals they have in Mexico. It is a small zoo so you can get round in a couple of hours, keeping your toddler’s attention the whole time. It is easy to get to the zoo by car or taxi, and it is only about 5 minutes from Garza Blanca Resort.
