Finding that Perfect Balance in 2017

Health Questionnaire at Spa Imagine Puerto Vallarta

With 2017 well under way, we are all striving to maintain our personal goals regarding our health and wellbeing.  Now that the holidays are over, let’s take a look at some of the best ways to strike a healthy balance in the year ahead.  We will also see how to organize a vacation that will inspire a relaxing, healthy lifestyle thanks to Spa Imagine’s manager, Rosa Gonzalez at Garza Blanca Resort in Puerto Vallarta.

Stay Hydrated

While it may seem obvious, the importance of staying well hydrated cannot be overstated.  It helps the systems in your body to run at their optimal levels and gives skin and eyes an amazing radiance.  Try to drink around 2 liters (about eight 8-ounce glasses) of water and other healthy fluids every day.  During your time on vacation in hot climates, make sure you drink even more water to replenish the fluids you lose through sweat, and if you are drinking alcohol, follow the rule of drinking one glass of water between each cocktail.

Stay Active

Just because you are on vacation doesn’t mean you should ditch your fitness routine.  In fact, you will find plenty of ways to stay active at Garza Blanca Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, from working out in the gym or outdoor play and fitness area, to running along the paths or beach of the preserve, to water sports like kayaking and paddle boarding.  Several elements make up a healthy lifestyle, and keeping yourself active, even if you just dedicate 20 minutes a day to it, is a key component.

A Little of What you Love

Although deprivation of certain things is par for the course in many fad diets, indulging in moderate portions of things many of us have been told should be avoided, such as chocolate, coffee, gourmet dining and wine, can definitely be part of a healthy lifestyle.  Denying yourself these treats can backfire by making you more likely to binge when you do finally give in.  Finding balance is key, and when you eat healthfully most of the time, get adequate exercise, and take time to center yourself and care for your emotional health, you will be well on your way.

Regular Spa Visits

Knowing that people who get massages on a regular basis are less likely to experience illness and other conditions related to stress, we should all make it a point to indulge in spa treatments that allow us to reach our most blissed-out, relaxed state of being.  While vacation provides the perfect excuse to pamper yourself with spa treatments, why not continue their effects once you are home with regular visits to your preferred local spa.

Spa Imagine is offering a selection of amazing treatments in 2017 that restore the mind, body and spirit including the Herbal Therapeutic Massage and Vitamin C treatments for both face and body.
